As much as I’d love to think the living vines wrapping around the monster will serve to subdue or at least control it, I doubt it will be enough. It appears to draw power from the glass/gold/shard of light in the small dark cloud above its head and use it against the others.
I’m not sure if this monster is the original one that wanted to attack Nevhna that we first saw on page 6. There’s a lot of similarities but differences too. From what was seen on page 66, I had associated Sir Thorns with the monster, thinking he had control over it but I guess I was wrong. Starting on page 111, it battled with Storm Crown and when Nevhna saw him later, he had lost his “dazzle” (as Nevhna called one of his gold-glass thingies). So has the monster been able to take them for itself?
(Hope you don’t mind my long comments. I love your story and while I’m not trying to guess what will happen, I’m still trying to put all the ongoing pieces into an understandable pattern.)
Thanks a lot for the page numbers ! Was good to re-read those.
I am pretty sure it is the same entity with the stolen “dazzle”. I am curious to see if it can be even retireved back by the wolf.
Venison for dinner tonight
Something unpleasant is about to happen.
