I would have said reading … but that’s probably not the answer. Considering the intense look on her face, the position of her hand and the curious reaction of the others … maybe ripping out a page? Possibly the human version of the assault on the forest. But that would be a little weird, too.
If it is the story of the human king valiantly slaying the wolf at the very start of this comic, she already altered that one (well … only by telling a forest friendly version of it … but still) … and would it be so particularly offensive at this point?
Clearly something is bothering her, but I honestly don’t really have a good theory.

She explains it in the later pages, but your theories were not bad at all! 🙂
“Making sure the book didn’t get damaged” is a good quick answer here
It’s definitely a good option! 🙂
“I’ve got no arugula for this recipe.”
“Do you guys know where I can find kale in this forest?”
That middle row of panels is just *chefs kiss* so good
I agree, my favorite being that little sleeping bird ❤️
Sitting in a glowing turtle shell?? I love the turtle head popped up next to her, lol!
Thanks for mentioning the turtle head! I usually enjoy scritinising comics with art that I enjoy but I completely missed the head.
You’re welcome!! 😀
